Oak View is the most westerly community of the Ojai Valley nestled on a ridge that receives the regular cooling ocean breezes from nearby Ventura. Being outside Ojai city limits adds the blended conveniences of familiar restaurant and chain stores as well as favorite “mom and pop shops”. One can enjoy hiking, biking, afternoons on nearby Lake Casitas, or easily slip “down the hill” to Ventura to catch a movie. Oak View has its own business district, including a grocery store, post office, bank, gas stations, coffee shops, several restaurants, and much more. Oak View offers a diversity of residential areas including everything from tract developments of the 50s, rural equestrian properties, and custom luxury properties built in the late ’80s on 2-acre equestrian-friendly parcels with adjacent riding paths in Saddle Mountain Estates.
